CRISMART analyst Visiting Scholar at Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA)

During the month of July, CRISMART analyst Christer Brown worked as a Visiting Scholar at the Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA, http://www.mima.gov.my/), where he examined the management of piracy in a Southeast Asia context and pursued research on coastal flooding events. During his stay, Christer had the opportunity to lecture on the humanitarian response to Hurricane Katrina (2005) for MIMA staff, the Malaysian Coast Guard, Malaysian Armed Forces and other government officials.
