CRISMART conducted training course for safety advisors

CRISMART conducted a two day training course in crisis management for safety advisers at the Risk and Crisis Management Unit at the Greater Stockholm Area Fire Brigade. The course started on a general note as teachers from CRISMART presented a general picture of the Swedish crisis management system, including its emergence, laws and guiding principles. Next on the agenda was a lecture on the findings from crisis management research regarding crisis management challenges, and what features should be included in a crisis management team. After the initial lectures, the course switched tracks to become more interactive. Seminar discussions, teamwork and table-top exercises were used to teach participants how to plan, implement and evaluate crisis management exercises.
