New dissertation on crisis and Swedish nuclear energy policy
Researcher Daniel Nohrstedt (CRISMART and Uppsala University) defends his doctoral dissertation Crisis and Policy Reformcraft: Advocacy Coalitions and Crisis-induced Change in Swedish Nuclear Energy Policy on May 4th, 2007 at the Department of Political Science at Uppsala University. The dissertation studies how the nuclear power plant accidents at Three Mile Island in 1979 and Chernobyl in 1986 influenced Swedish energy policy decision making. The studies are based in part on documents recently made public and shed new light on political science theory over the roll of crisis in political decision making.
