Edward Deverell is the Director of Analysis and Studies and a Senior Analyst at CRISMART. His principal task is to coordinate analyses and studies assigned to CRISMART researchers by external clients. This entails being an active partner in client negotiations, project initiation and quality control. In addition, he is a research fellow and lecturer at the Swedish National Defence College. Edward Deverell’s research focuses on crisis management on the organizational level, decision making under stressful conditions, and organizational crisis-induced learning. In March 2010, Edward Deverell defended his PhD dissertation “Crisis-induced learning in public sector organizations” at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He also holds a Master’s Degree from Uppsala University’s Program of International Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Stockholm University. Prior to joining CRISMART, Edward Deverell was a researcher at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. In 2006-2007, he was Seconded Expert Advisor on crisis management issues at the Government Offices of Sweden. Edward Deverell has 35 publications in books, articles, and peer reviewed and popular science journals. He is an experienced lecturer who has taught and given presentations for many different types of students, practitioners, academics and professionals in Sweden and abroad.
