Lectures

CRISMART offers lectures of leading academic and practical expertise to illustrate both fundamental crisis management problems and recurring dilemmas connected to decision making in crisis situations.

Presentations of crisis management cases

Presentation and analysis of Swedish and international crisis management experiences focusing on specific problem complexes and practical lessons.

Seminars

Instructor-led seminars aimed at discussing the specific organization’s mission, mandate, goals and existing crisis management policy, as well as the presentation and discussion of practical tools for self analysis.

Case exercises

Case-based and instructor-led interactive seminars that strive for active learning based on hypothetical or real-life cases where analytical tools and crisis management philosophy is tested. Case exercises usually concentrate on specific aspects of crisis management.

Scenario exercises and simulations

The goal is to create a virtual crisis situation for the participants with a high level of realism. Simulations are detail-rich and interactive. One or more levels of authority or groups in the organization can participate simultaneously. Upon completion, a structured review of the exercise is carried out aiming at illuminating the problem complexes encountered. Exercises of this type can be either diagnostic and lead to suggestions for improvement, or test an existing crisis management plan or organizational structure.
