An obvious criterion for dividing CRISMART’s various research efforts is geographical diffusion. The importance of studying crisis management profiles across national political systems is not just to be able to better validate theoretical gains, but most importantly to methodologically compare processes and outcomes in different political-cultural environments. Studies of crises abroad can also be considered as an important type of international analysis.
